Text Messaging Terms
What our text messages are for, how often they come, and how to stop them or get help.
Our text messages
Redwood Osteopathic Family Medicine sends text messages to patients and to people who have asked to hear from us. We text about:
- Appointment reminders
- Messages from your care team, and replies to the texts you send us
- Account and billing notices
We text you only if you have agreed to receive our texts, for example by telling us when you join the practice. Agreeing is optional. It is not required to become a patient, to receive care or to make a purchase.
How often, and what it costs
Message frequency varies with your appointments, your conversations with your care team and your account. Message and data rates may apply, as set by your mobile plan.
To stop our texts
Reply STOP to any text from us to opt out. END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE and QUIT work too. We will send one text to confirm, and then no more unless you agree to our texts again. You can also ask us to stop by phone or email.

Good to know
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Text messages are not for emergencies. In an emergency, call 911.
